Steve's InFocus now produces Giclée (zhee-klay) prints. These are reproductions of original oil, watercolor, and sketched art or they could be prints from your pictures taken with your digital camera. They in fact become originals of the original.
The word Giclée was chosen in 1991 by Jack Duganne. Epson coined the term ultragiclée to designate prints made with it’s ultrachrome inks.
We take special care of your image as we digitize it and then produce it with the highest quality inks and papers or canvas.
We give you a picture that is beautiful and often hard to distinguish the original from the Giclée.
Why choose Giclée?
Artists like a giclée because they don’t have to produce large quantites of each individual painting. Once the setup is complete additional prints are available at a reasonable cost and the archived image won’t deteriorate as a negative might.
Digital photographers like to use Giclée to display favorite shots that bring back wonderful memories. It can be displayed like a painting on your wall in your home or office.
Giclée prints can be found in museums through out the world.
